CLAT Counselling 2024
After the announcement of results, the consortium commences the CLAT counseling process. A list of invites is curated, including the candidates who have been shortlisted. For each category, candidates five times the available seat count are summoned for counseling. To illustrate, about 15,500 candidates will be invited to occupy 3,100 seats in 5-year integrated LLB courses. Similarly, approximately 3,300 candidates will receive invitations for the LLM program. The distribution of invitations is determined by a combination of merit and preference.
The CLAT counseling, overseen by the consortium, takes place online. Eligible candidates are kept informed of their counseling selection status through SMS and email. To partake in the process, candidates need to register on the CLAT login portal and submit the requisite registration fee. The counseling fee stands at Rs. 30,000 for general category candidates and Rs. 20,000 for SC and ST category candidates.
Candidates included in the CLAT 2024 counseling pool are eligible for seat allotment in national law universities. Allotments are made based on a combination of merit and preference. Following seat allocation, candidates have the option to either accept the seat, request an upgrade, or withdraw from the admission process. Those who choose to accept the admission offer are then required to remit the NLU course fees to the designated university.
CLAT 2024 Cut-Offs
The anticipated CLAT cut-off marks for 2024 are expected to fall in the range of 95-100 for the general category. For SC/ST and OBC categories, the expected cut-off is likely to be between 80-85.
